The southern city of Miami has always been a "lush" breeding ground for drug crime. The FBI has never relaxed its surveillance of the area. When a police undercover agent is brutally murdered during a drug deal, superiors ask Sonny (Colin Farrell) and Ricardo (Jamie Foxx) to dress up as drug dealers, and the undercover agent contacts their leader Montoya (Luis Tosar) to find out the truth. During the undercover operation, James, who has an exaggerated personality, unknowingly falls into a private affair with Isabella (played by Gong Li), a sexy female banker. However, this Asian woman is actually the important leader behind the local drug smuggling ring and is a Montoya woman. Montoya's business representative, Zito, does not believe Sonny and Ricardo, intuitively senses that something is wrong with them, is wary of their provenance, and kidnaps Ricardo's girlfriend, putting the uninvited guests to death.
