Auggie (Jacob Tremblay) is a 10-year-old boy who is no different from other children of the same age except for wearing a huge space helmet. Under the helmet hides Auggie's scarred face due to various surgeries, which not only perfectly hides Auggie's fragile and inferior heart, but also successfully prevents Auggie's appearance from scaring other children. <br /> Augie didn't go to school, and all his cultural knowledge was taught to him at home by his mother, Isabel (Julia Roberts). However, Isabel gradually felt that home classes could not meet Auggie's growth needs, and in addition to learning knowledge, Auggie had to learn how to communicate with people other than her family. In the midst of her worries, Isabel sends Auggie to a public school, where Auggie faces the challenges he must overcome in his life.
